Recently some government departments in Jilin Province passed on some secret documents from higher authorities that contained detailed "guidelines" for dealing with Falun Gong practitioners who hold jobs. The "guidelines" included: 1. Expelling practitioners from the Party 2. The cancellation of qualifications for teachers 3. The cancellation of contracts with professionals 4. The removal of titles such as Dr. etc. 5. The disqualification from formal evaluation in schools etc, and the disqualification for studying for masters or PhD’s. Male officers persecuted her physically and humiliated and degraded her. They shaved off her hair, cut off her eyelashes, pulled out her pubic hair with tweezers and sexually abused her. He kidnapped a female Falun Dafa practitioner and had her sentenced to one year of labor education. This practitioner’s child was very young and still being breast-fed at the time. [Read full story] Elderly Lady Dies After Repeated Detention and Torture Over Several Years Detailed list of persons responsible provided by practitioners in China By a Falun Dafa Practitioner in China Ms. Liu Tongling, 53 years old, lived in Chengsan Village of Rang District in Daqing City. When her family visited her at the end of September, they found her legs were all swollen and she could not lift her head. Fearing her life was in danger, Ms. Liu’s family paid Chief Yang, 3000 Yuan to buy his help. He accepted the money but said it was not enough and claimed that she could be released if they paid 30,000 Yuan. The family went home to gather the enormous sum of money, but by October 12, one month after Ms. Liu was sent to the drug rehabilitation center, she died from the torture she was subjected to. Only two days before her death, in her very dangerous condition, she was still forced to sit (in a fixed position) on a metal chair in an empty cell for long period of time. [Read full story] Another Falun Gong Practitioner Dies from Torture in Heilongjiang Province; Death Toll in Heilongjiang Province Reaches 132 By a Practitioner in China In August 2000, Wang Jiguo was tortured to near death and was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, liver ascites, and comprehensive hepatorenal syndrome. They ignored the fact that Wang Jiguo was urinating blood and almost blind in both eyes. He was again cruelly tortured until he was again on the brink of death. Medical treatment failed to revive him and he passed away in September 2003. [Read full story] Falun Gong Practitioner He Huajiang of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, is Tortured to Death By a Practitioner in China On December 23rd, when He Huajiang was transferred to the Daqing labor camp, policemen instigated prisoners Wang Qinglin and others to force He Huajing to write a "repentance letter". That night, from around 9 to 11pm, prisoners poured cold water on him, tied him up to a steel chair, stuffed his mouth, opened the windows and doors, and periodically took him outside to freeze. Because He Huajiang was kept in the freezing cold for too long, his heart stopped beating. After 11, He Huajiang was tortured to death in the bathroom of the second team. [Read full story] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xuan Honggui Dies as a Result of Severe Torture Ms. Xuan made a living selling boxed lunches. Before January 2001, she risked her personal safety to distribute materials exposing the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. Three doctors of the No. 3 Meihekou City Hospital in Hailong Town reported her, which resulted in her arrest. The Hailong Town Police Department rewarded each doctor with 2,000 Yuan. [Read full story] The Persecution of Chen Guoyou’s Family in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province By a Practitioner in China Mr. Chen Guoyou of the Wanquan Township in Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, had worked as an educator for over thirty years. Since he started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996, he has experienced tremendous improvement both mentally and physically. However, since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, Chen and his family have been suffering horrendous persecution. [Read full story] Officials at Dazhou City in Sichuan Province Hold Brainwashing Sessions Yan Yonghe, the former Meishan City Party Committee Secretary, has been persecuting Falun Gong. Recently, he was promoted to be the Dazhou City Party Committee Secretary and started to hold brainwashing sessions to persecute Falun Gong practitioners just after he arrived in Dazhou. Zhang Weini is supervisor of the person responsible for the brainwashing sessions. She has published several articles slandering Falun Dafa, deprived practitioners’ of their freedom, forced the practitioners’ relatives to pressure the practitioners to give up the practice, threatened to fire practitioners and their relatives from their jobs and used various methods to persecute practitioners during their detention. [Read full story] Mr. Zhang Shengshan is Tortured to Death On the evening of January 9, 2003, Shengshan was illegally abducted into the detention center at Moldov Wadagal County (Mo County). Police officer Du Yulin beat him up savagely. He also instructed other criminals to hit him. Then Shengshan’s wrists and ankles were chained to a bed board in such a manner that he was unable to move his body. He was not allowed any cover and was left to freeze in the cold weather. Du Yulin ended up putting an iron chain in his mouth and did not let him speak. Under orders from the prison guard, he was not allowed to eat, drink, or go to the restroom. He was also forced to drink extremely hot water. Due to the cruel torture of being chained to the bed board, his wrists were so worn that his bones and tendons were exposed. [Read full story] Falun Dafa Practitioners On Hunger Strike in Jilin Jail are Cruelly Tortured One of these kinds of torture uses reinforcing bars (rebar) fixed onto a board. They twist the bodies of the practitioners between these bars. The practitioners’ hands or legs are pulled apart in the upper sideways or lower sideways positions. When the police pull the practitioners’ bodies to the extreme, they will tie the practitioners’ bodies in a twisted position. The police put sticks, bowls, cans, bottles etc., between their bodies and the board. Finally, they completely suspend the practitioners’ bodies in midair. As time passes, the practitioners experience extreme pain, since all their joints are at awkward angles putting extreme pressure on their joints and tearing their ligaments. [Read full story]
(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of November 21, in the Quebec Higher Court, Chinese international student Wang Xueliang testified that he was beaten up by Chinese diplomat Ma Xiaolong, on the evening of December 28, 2001. Wang is a witness in the case against the Chinese newspaper Les Presses Chinoises, which has been accused of slandering and spreading hate propaganda about Falun Gong. [Read full story] CW: Falun Gong Practitioner Wins Outstanding Citizen Award for Saving Young Girl’s Life (Clearwisdom) The Epoch Times reports from Quebec that on November 17, the Immigration Department honored 24 citizens in the Quebec parliament for self-sacrifice for the sake of others. Mr. Yuqing Chen received the award and became the first Chinese in Quebec to do so. When a reporter asked him what made him consider rescuing the girl from the icy canal, he said, " As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I follow the teachings and helped someone in danger. If I see someone is dying and do not rescue him, I am not a qualified practitioner." [Read full story] Japan Economic Newswire: Falun Gong Follower Released from Detention in China According to the Japanese Embassy in Beijing, Luo Rong, 39, was sentenced by China to labor reeducation for about a year and a half after she was arrested May 24 in Beijing along with two Japanese while passing out Falun Gong leaflets to passersby. Her 48-year-old husband Atsushi Kaneko, who has been in China seeking his wife’s release, said he is looking forward to returning to Japan with her. [Read full story] Taipei Times: Suing China to Safeguard Rights Seven members of the Taiwan Falun Dafa Institute filed a lawsuit at the Taiwan High Court on Nov. 17 accusing former Chinese president Jiang Zemin, former Chinese vice premier Li Lanqing and Chinese Communist Party Politburo member Luo Gan of committing genocide. This is the first time that Taiwanese people have invoked the genocide statute, which was put in place in 1953 in accordance with the UN’s 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. (Agence France Presse) The European Union has opened human rights talks with China, with torture, the death penalty and political prisoners on the agenda, sources close to the discussions said. The bi-annual talks will push for more openness from Beijing. The 15-country EU -- set to expand to 25 members next year -- has voiced "deep concern" in the past over China’s rights record. They were forcibly arrested and expelled from the country. Now, two years later, some of the German participants are submitting charges to the Federal Prosecutor in Karlsruhe, Germany, against the former leader Jiang Zemin and other senior officials and persons responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
